My first Camino took place in May 2019, when I walked 320 kilometers from León to Santiago along the French Way. It was a journey marked by physical pain and hardship — I was unprepared and had no real experience in long-distance hiking. Yet, despite the suffering, I fell in love with the experience and knew that I would return.
Because of the constant struggle with discomfort, much of the walk became a meditation on the role of pain itself — how effort, sacrifice, and the willingness to face difficulties are often necessary steps in moving closer to ourselves and to the world around us.
With limited time, I later traveled by bus to Finisterre and Muxía, both magical places that left a lasting impression on me.
