The 35th Bálványos Summer Free University and Student Camp — widely known as Tusványos — took place July 22–26, 2026, in Tusnádfürdő (Băile Tușnad), Romania. Held annually for 35 years, the event has long been closely associated with the former ruling Fidesz party and its leader, Viktor Orbán, who has used the summer gathering as a platform for major political addresses. This year's edition carried particular weight: following Fidesz's defeat in Hungary's April 2026 election, Orbán delivered his traditional Tusványos speech for the first time in 16 years as an opposition politician rather than as prime minister.
